Dreamy is a collection of contemporary stories created by First Nations storytellers. These new works bring an 80,000-year-old oral tradition into the digital space, helping people of all walks of life to quiet their minds, drift into dream, and disconnect from their devices by connecting to Country.

One third of young Australians have difficulty sleeping: a cause, and a consequence, of mental health problems. More and more young people are looking for content to help them drift off, and Dreamy celebrates First Nations voices, culture and knowledge, which are so often overlooked and underrepresented – a cause of ongoing psychological distress for First Nations peoples.

We worked with five incredible First Nations storytellers to create the stories, which were then engineered into 5 impeccably crafted soundscapes, accompanied by bespoke artworks from Carmen Glynn-Braun and turned into a podcast series online, as well as Spotify and Apple Music.

Dreamy found a second life at Parrtjima, the festival of lights held in Mparntwe (Alice Springs). Carmen turned her artworks into a three dimensional open-air installation, where our storytellers shared their tales with guests lying under the night sky.
